How Can I replace Optical Drive with a SSD drive?

I have an Optiplex 3020 desktop computer. It has its original 500G HDD hard drive, which came with the PC. I am running out of space. I would like to add an additional SSD disk. I opened the cover and I wasn't to figure it out. I am not sure how can I add an additional hard drive. I don't mind remove optical drive and replacing it with a 4TB SSD drive. Is it possible to add an additional drive? If yes, can someone guide me beside the SSD what else I need installing the SSD? I am a beginner if someone can mention all the steps for me.

Appreciate your help!

if you have a slim dvd drive you can replace it w this to add a 2.5 ssd

If it has a regular height DVD you can install a 2.5 ssd on top of the existing 3.5 hdd in a 3020 DT.  the DT has a hdd cage to support two drives.  just get a Dell 3.5 to 2.5 adapter.  put your 2.5 ssd in the adapter and install it like a second 3.5 drive

do you have 3020 SFF or DT?  pic below shows DT is the tallest.  SFF in the middle.

If you have DT you can use this kind of dvd size enclosure
