MS OFFICE 2021 activation

Just bought an Inspiron 5440 laptop dated 17/08/24 with MS home and office 2021 "preinstalled".  I created a MS account and used the same email for the purchase.  It never activated.  Spent 3 days with many different techs who only seemed capable of reinstalling office multiple times, downloading office again, checking my dell digital locker (empty), my MS account (again no record). The last tech even contacted MS help.  MS tech tried everything to fix and in the end they informed me by email that the manufacturer has not done the binding of ms office with my device. I have informed the same to dell.
So a lot of session with a "senior" tech didn't occur as they called 1/2 hour early so I couldn't get to the phone, and they didn't leave a direct # to call so I had to go thru the entire menu system again!  Now I'm waiting yet again.  This goes beyond the absurd.  And it seems like I'm not the only one who still has this unresolved issue recently if anyone face something similar please reply.
