Latitude E 6230

 I have  Latitude E 6230  Recently it has developed a fault 

When i awake if from hibernation mode it wont automatically go to the wifi network I have to connect it manually and it takes a while to connect

This problem does not arise if i have turned the laptop off when it is switched on it goes straight to nearest wi fi network

Dell have suggested changing the hard disc  but i have so much on it I would be loath to attempt to save it all, also on my last laptop once dell started messing with innards i had to get a new one with in 6 months

Any suggestions would be very welcome
