S2721DS, water-like stain
Dell S2721DS
Recently found wavy, water-like stain at the bottom of the monitor. It looks like it is inside the monitor. What could be the cause of it and how can it be fixed?
Ignore the rainbow dots and webs on the monitor (that's just picked up by my phone). I am really talking about the greyish-stain near the bottom of the screen. it is slightly taller on the 2nd picture (which is the right side of the monitor screen).
Thank you for taking a look

It seems like humidity or liquid stain. If the monitor is still within warranty, click on Get Help Now button on lower right of this screen. After ascertain warranty status, Dell may send you a replacement monitor.

@Chino de Oro the monitor is not in warranty anymore, the warrant lasted maybe less than 2 months. Is there anything I can do to help remove moisture or prevent this in the future?

If you like to tinker with internal components, here is the tear down guide https://dl.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_electronics_accessories/esuprt_electronics_accessories_monitor/esuprt_monitor_s_series/dell-s2721ds-monitor_User's-Guide3_en-us.pdf
Can't really offer a solution when am not sure of the cause.

That looks like the Yogore/Mura defect. Open the Pinned Post, "FAQ Monitor". Then read, "Yogore/Mura defect, smearing, wavy, jagged lines".

@DELL-Chris M I see, that does look like it, I am suprised that would happen since the monitor have not been exposed to high ambient temperature.
