P2724DEB, intermittent camera activation for Hello
Have been trialling the Dell P2724DEB as a monitor to allow Windows Hello usage, and to make our desks a bit cleaner by eliminating the dock from the desk. It's working well, except for around 50% of the time, when trying Windows Hello, it fails to turn on the camera. Laptop camera never an issue. Any ideas? Turning the monitor off and on is the workaround. On M2T102 firmware.

Have you tried reinstalling the chipset drivers? If not, please try that and let us know if that resolved the issue.

When it fails, verify these =
* The camera shutter is rotated fully counter clockwise to Open
* The P2724DEB Menu- Audio & Webcam- Webcam & Presence Sensor is Enabled
* Reconnect the USB-B to USB-A upstream cable from the P2724DEB #7 USB-B upstream port to the USB-A port on the PC
When using a notebook PC with built-in webcam, in the Device Manager interface, you will find both the notebook PC built-in webcam and the monitor webcam. Normally, they are both in Enable status, and the default Windows setting is using the notebook built-in webcam. Set up the P2724DEB webcam as default Windows webcam by disabling the notebook built-in webcam.
