P2720DC, flickering, USB-C

Hi everyone,

I have two P2720DC daisy-chained, one of them is connected via USB-C to my HP laptop. Yesterday all of a sudden one of the monitors started flickering, but not the whole screen just stripes of it. And these buggy stripes show kind of a frozen webpage of my Edge browser. Even when the monitors are not connected to my laptop and I switch them on, the faulty one shows a black screen with the stripes and the frozen webpage. When I run the self-diagnosis mode (screen changes colors from red to yellow and so on) there is no frozen webpage visible only when the dark color is tested. Another observation: today the flickering and the burnt-in webpage is not as strong as yesterday. Is this something that will disappear completely in a few days, or is the monitor broken and I have to buy a new one (e.g. U2724D or U2724DE).

Kind regards,

Peter

To receive assistance from Dell support agents they need to first verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private Service Tag with them.

First, disconnect/reconnect the USB-C cable from both PC and P2720DC and retest.

Second, P2720DC User's Guide, page 47. Run the Menu- Others- LCD Conditioning to see if it helps with that image retention.
