How to calibrate E157FPTe touch screen in Windows XP

I have a Dell Optiplex SX260 running Windows XP Professional SP2. When I plugged in the touch screen USB cable on a Dell E157FPTe monitor, Windows immediately saw the touch screen as a plug-n-play device and loaded a generic driver. However, the mouse pointer is about an inch below where I actually touch the screen and darned if I can find a calibration routine to correct the problem.

Is there a touch screen  application available for the E157FPTe like the old TouchWare app for the E153FPT?

Thanks in advance,

Greg

It was the second one, the 32 meg file (R169621.exe). Thank you so much. I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to calibrate the screen. This issue is resolved.

what happens if you manually update the driver? your monitor the E157FPT (non-e) driver is here and oddly here. one file is 4mb, the other 32mb. search "e157fpt" on dell, and you should see both. there may be options within the driver to do this. my guess is the larger one.

this reminded me of calibrating joysticks (game controllers).
