ubuntu 24.04 xps 16
Hi,
I have xps16 laptop , I installed linux ubuntu 24.04 in it but my audio and camera and microphone is not working , my linux kernel is v6.8 , do I need to change the kernel for this to work? I tried many different solutions, does anyone have experience with this? I appreciate any suggestion

Add "options snd-hda-intel model=dell-headset-multi" to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf, then do "sudo update-initramfs -u". Reboot.

I have the same issue on XPS 14 9440. Tried @heynnema's fix but it didn't work. Noticed in Software & Updates -> Additional Drivers that "Intel Corporation: Unknown" said "This device is not working" and was set to "Do not use the device". Tried both the "HAL library" and the "Intel Integrated" option but neither seems to work.
