Yellow Question Mark (with exclamation) against Network Controller in Lat. D620

Hi,

I see a yellow question mark (with exclamation) against Network Controller in
Other Devices in Device Manager. I have performed the following troubleshooting
steps till now:

Tried updating the Drivers from Dell Resource CD & also from Windows Update. But system is unable to find updated drivers for this device. I checked whether other related Drivers viz. Network Adapters e.g Broadcom Netxtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller are also installed.

According to my knowledge, the yellow question mark with an exclamation appears to be a an IRQ conflict with some of the resources of the system. I have also disabled the Modem from the system to make sure that some resources are free, and hence this conflict could be finished.

Also wanted to know whether this unit contains Bluetooth & Wireless LAN on the motherboard.

Please help me.

Thanks!

Sounds like the wireless card to me. Download and install the wireless drivers.

Anyone else have any ideas as to why the card may be becoming problematic in device manager?  I too am able to install my network adapter but can not get my Intel 3945 driver to take.  I have attempted to install the current, off Dell's site, version and it wouldn't take.  Removed the driver/software and then attempted the latest and greatest from the Intel site but without success.  Removed that driver/software and even tried a driver rollback to a later version off dells site and couldn't get that driver to take as well.  Have installed/reinstalled windows twice now trying to get my d620 to take all of its drivers and have done them in the appropriate order each time with each time resulting in a failed attempt to install the wireless card driver.  Even tried it with a known good Intel card and still a no go on getting the driver to take :(   Have disabled power management frot he adapter in hopes that would work but nadda for that as well...  Has anyone had a similar issue and perhaps found a solution?!?

It is not the wireless device as that is either Intel or Dell.  It is the wired network adapter and you need to download and save R116101, uninstall the current broadcom driver and reinstall the downloaded broadcom netxtreme 57xx gigabit again.  That is what worked for me.
