I cannot update my BIOS because my computer says no battery detected . and adapter not connected
I have a second battery which when plugged in the PC will not start up . also PC will not start up without a
battery. neither battery will charge. and looking for help I see no response to solve these problems

If the system won't start up on AC only, verify that the AC adapter is OK (LED on before you plug in the notebook end). If it's not (or it's a non-Dell adapter), it needs to be replaced.
If the adapter is OK and the system won't power up without a battery, something is faulty with the mainboard - a BIOS flash isn't going to be possible (the system must power up in order to flash the BIOS AND the battery must be at least partially charged).
