Can I upgrade laptop processor ?
I am using dell inspiron 15 laptop(intel core i3 - 3217u). Can I upgrade to i5 or i7 processor ?

You cannot upgrade just the processor, no - on this model, the CPU is soldered to the system board. You would need to replace the entire system board to upgrade -- that will make the upgrade economically questionable. You'd likely be better off selling the system and buying a new one -- particularly since this is a budget model, and the need for a faster CPU likely accompanies a need for better hardware overall.
