Hi Amit,

You may check the battery health from the ‘Dell Battery Meter’. The Battery Meter is used to check the status, life and health of the battery. To launch the Battery Meter:

  • Click ‘Start’
  • Click ‘Control Panel’
  • Click ‘Power Options’ under ‘Hardware and Sound’
  • Click ‘Dell Battery Meter’
  • Click ‘Battery Health’ and check for the battery health.

Keep me posted with the findings. I will be glad to assist further.

Hi Amit,

Please ensure that there is a green light on the brick of the ac adapter. It seems that the issue is with the DC-in port. You may try to connect another good known ac adapter, if possible.

Keep me posted with the findings. I will be glad to assist you.

First thing to do is try another Dell OEM AC adapter.  If that doesn't solve the problem, replace the power jack

And if that doesn't fix it, replace the mainboard.

Hi Amit,

It seems to be an issue with the DC-in port. Please provide me the Service Tag and the name as it appears on the account via private message (click my username and then click Start Conversation) so I may access your records and check for further course of action.

Keep me posted with the information. I will be glad to assist further.
