Inspiron G7 17 7790, 1 year old, 1/2 the battery time

It's been a year since I bought the Inspiron G7 17 7790. Initially it provide 2 to 2 1/2 hours of battery life (NO gaming included). And I was okay with that. But one day out of nowhere my battery life was minimised. It got  reduced to to 1 1/2 hours tops. I tried updating my bios but I don't know if I did it right. Any idea how I can restore my battery life to previous status?

The Dell battery is a consumable device and its life depletes on every charge cycle. If you keep the system connected to charger even after a full charge, it may result in battery life depletion. You need to use the system on battery power and charge the battery after it drains to 5%. Once fully charged, the charger has to be disconnected. By following this, you can ensure that the battery life is not depleted.
