G155530 BIOS 1.15.1 Discalibrated my Battery

Dell G15 5530

Dell G15 5530

After updating from 1.14.0 to 1.15.1,
Unable to charge battery beyond 95%, even when changing BIOS settings, resetting the BIOS settings. Looks the new BIOS version somehow discalibrated my battery somehow.

How can i fix this?

You can perform battery calibration to restore its baseline.  It is recommended to perform up to three battery calibration cycles to ensure that the laptop’s battery has been fully calibrated.

I think its a bug in the BIOS code, noticed that they changed some stuff about battery charge level in the CHANGELOG.

CHANGELOG:

Fixes:
- Fixed the issue where some dots are displayed in the Enter old password field after you change the hard drive or solid state drive password.
- Fixed the issue where the system stops responding at the BIOS Auto-Recovery screen when you update the BIOS.
- Fixed the issue where the system does not enter the Hibernate mode from the Modern Standby after 5% battery consumption.
- Fixed the issue where the power button LED does not light up for over 40 seconds after you connect the AC adapter.

Enhancements:
- Added the Internal Port DMA Compatibility Mode option in the BIOS setup.
**- Modified minimum battery requirement for connecting adapter and battery during BIOS update from 10% to 25%.**
