Battery Light: Three Yellow One White

I haven't been able to find the error codes anywhere. Does anyone know what three yellow/orange/amber flashes and one white flash means? Thanks! Inspiron 15 7559

Edit: It turned out that my BIOS clock had been out of synch due to the CMOS battery being unplugged for a little bit. I just needed to go into the BIOS and select "restore defaults" and it was fixed. The desktop reference guide ended up solving it for me.

Still not resolved? Use the "Get Help Now" option at the bottom right to chat with a Dell technician right away.

Thank you for your message.

This seems to be an issue with the CMOS battery.

If the issue persists, please disconnect the power cord, press & hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Start the computer back & check if the LED light is the same.

Try to reseat or replace the CMOS battery by following the manual (Page 47).

If still under the purchased warranty, click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session.

I have the same issue on my Dell XPS 15 9570. I sent back one because the first unit had this issue, and now the second one ALSO has this issue. This is totally not a coincidence and more looks like a bios bug to me.

It happens now more and more. Maybe from a cold boot of 20 it happens now 3-5 times, that turning the laptop on, there is no picture and just yellow yellow white blink. If I wait for about 1 minute, the fans go on high then the laptop suddenly gets a picture boots but the blink continues. Then I am in Windows. When I then shutdown Windows... the shutdown process is stuck for about 1 minute then the laptop turns off.

It also happens often, that the laptop shows a picture after Windows reboot (for example after Windows update) and then is stuck at Dell logo and no circulating icon shows up and it is stuck. This behavior was on the first 9570 laptop TOO.

Thank you for your message. I will be glad to look into this for you.

What is the BIOS version installed?  Does this happen when you restart the computer or wake it from sleep/hibernation?
