running two vga monitors
I have an Optiplex 990 can I run two monitors extended, one on vga connection the other on the display port display port with suitable adaptor if there is one. thanks.:emotion-1: Don

I purchased an adaptor from Amazon, recieved today plugged in and all working no problems so far

Hi Don,
Yes, you can run VGA plus DVI or VGA plus displayport.

Osprey,
IS there some trick to this? I just tried attaching two monitors, one to DVI and one to VGA, but the second display could not be detected. Do I need to reboot or how do I get the Catalyst system to detect the second display?

You need to use the Catalyst Control Center to see what's going on.
