Server Initiated Discovery - Unable to update DNS Server

When trying to enable Server Initiated Discovery we get the below error.

DNS Records have been added to the DNS Servers and the servers are pingable when testing in UI.

Has anybody seen this before?

Hi Charles,

We are on version 4.0.0.202. I have manually added all DNS records again to try and resolve the error but still having the issue when trying to enable Server Initiated discovery.

Do Non-secure and secure updates need to be enabled for DNS even if we add the initial records manually?

Hello,

here what I suggest:

- Try to enable dynamic updates on your DNS

- Verify that the account used by OpenManage Enterprise has the necessary permissions to update DNS records.

- Check DNS event logs to provide more insight.

Hi, 

Account being used is able to update DNS and we are seeing no issues in DNS Events. Server initiated discovery fails instantly.

Dynamic updates are enabled as per below:
