how to decrypt a BSOD drive and remove the Dell Encryption ver 11 completely ?

We have several computers on the environment that are getting the BSOD due to VIDEO_DRIVER_INIT_FAILURE (b4) failure.  We tried to run the Windows 10 O/S repair booting up the system with a thumb drive but it fails.  I would like to slave the failed hard drive and decrypt the hard drive to remove completely the DELL Encryption on that hard drive.

What do I need to do to remove the Dell Encryption from the failed drive ?

Hi @rsilva_kemet,

To decrypt or recovery a failed OS encrypted drive you have a few options.  The easiest and fastest option is to download our customized Windows PE bootable environment, use the recovery bundle for the failed device, unlock the encrypted information, and then copy the users data off the failed OS drive onto a removable device.  The data will be decrypted as its copied over to the removable device and then you can reimage the machine.  Once the machine is back up you can simply copy the data back over and redeploy Dell Encryption to start encrypting the machine again.

The other option is longer but you can boot into a standard Windows Installation environment, go into the advanced options, and open a command prompt.  Using the CMGAU tool you can choose to fully decrypt that drive.  Once that decryption process is complete you can attempt any windows recovery options you may have for this machine.
