Security Dell credit accounts

Not having a computer issue.

My concern is with security and the Dell credit card. I had an old account which was closed after a year. I didn't have the account number and needed help to re-open my account. The online sale man said Dell would have to call me to ask questions about my account. OK, I get a call that sounded like a Philippine restaurant. (I could hear a lot of chatter in the back ground). I knew he was from Dell. How secure is my account information? Being handled by 3rd world countries? I felt as soon as I got off the phone I felt like my information was going to be sold.
