I can't track the status of my order because it has been nearly 2 weeks and hasn't appeared on my account.

I believe I placed my order on the 29th of June, I was then charged on the 2nd of July. The expected arrival date of July 7th has come and gone. I check my account and I did not get an order placed on my order page. I received points but did not get an order confirmation in the same E-mail.

I also ordered a product (laptop) from Dell, mine on 2 July and not even a week has passed and I'm already having problems. All sorts of alarm bells are ringing and red flags are going up.

First of all, nothing changed in the tracking or status for days. While the indicated delivery date is 'quite tight'.

So I contacted customer service and I got told that it is coming from 'Asia'. Just imagine which country that could be. (China).

I would never have ordered if I had known this because 1) the quality of consumer goods from that country is quite dubious

and

2) the goods always have to go through customs first and nothing is guaranteed there. In fact, weeks or months of delay at customs is the rule rather than the exception.

For these reasons I did not want to buy things from abroad and especially from certain continents such as Asia. Dell did not tell me this in advance when I went through the ordering pages.

When I contacted customer service I was told a number of untruths about the delivery date while I 1) knew that this could not be the case because I am familiar with how customs works and therefore untrue 2) I had not even asked for this, for this kind of time guarantee and yet this man acted dishonest.

I will never do business with this company again. They are not the old Dell from decades ago when they were reliable, honest, and a decent company.

I have no expectation my laptop arrives tommorow like the man promised me (unasked), it has not even cleared customs yet.
