MDS Upgrade 9506 5.0.4d > 5.2.2d
Hi ALL,
I need some information regarding Firmware upgrade MDS-9506, I little bit confusion in it. Should I copied the firmware bootflash and slot 0 and what is slot 0.

Thanks for your reply,
first I copy the system and kikstart files on bootflash and then copy the slot 0. also let me know install all command only run with bootflash.

Your supervisor will have a slot for external compact flash drives. Try dir slot0 command to see if you have one installed in.

Hi,
I have space in bootflash but I want to know about slot 0. what is the difference between bootflash or slot 0.

Bootflash is the internal flash memory and slot0 is an option to have external flash devices. I hope this clarifies it for you.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, Only below command is required for upgrade the active and standby supervisor?
install all system bootflash:m9500-sf2ek9-mz.5.2.2d.bin kickstart bootflash:m9500-sf2ek9-kickstart-mz.5.2.2d.bin
