Any issues changing the Devise Alias on MDS switches
I have an MDS switched fabric and would like to change the name of a few devise alias but am not sure if it is disruptive.
If i change it does it update all the entries in current zones? I am thinking that it should not have a effect since it is just a name but i want to be sure.

No disruption at all , name changes will propagate to zonesets.

Like Dynamox said it is non-disruptive and dynamic. I have done this on production arrays and hosts without issue. It is not like renaming a zone which requires the zoneset to be activated, and in effect is like removing one zone and adding a copy of that zone with a different name.
