Dell OptiPlex 7010 (EOL) SFF Number of Memory Slots Different from Manual
My Dell Optiplex 7010 SFF desktop has 4 memory slots. The manual says 2 memory slots. I would like to get the specifications for the OptiPlex 7010 that I actually have, as I would like to increase the amount of RAM. So I need to know exactly what speed and what the maximum memory is.

Never mind. The correct User's Manual for my particular machine is the 9010/7010, which is not shown in the list. However, I entered the Service tag number and it came up. For the 7010, the memory specs are: 4 DIMM slots, DDR3, 1600mhz, and maximum RAM is 16Gb. You can get 32Gb if you have the 9010.

Users in this forum have achieved 32GB RAM in their 7010. We even had a contributor run 24GB in his 790, the 7010 predecessor.
