Case change for Inspiron 3471
I want to upgrade Insprion 3471 to a gaming pc since I don't want to purchase a whole new setup yet, and I3-9100 , motherboard is still somewhat usable. I going to get a GTX 1650 but the case is a bit too small for the GPU. I was looking for a new case but the motherboard shape different from the normal micro-ATX. I asking if it still able to fit fine in modern cases ?

Unfortunately, you are correct about the motherboard shape is different from the normal micro ATX. You will not be able to fit the board in modern cases. Whereas, both front and rear I/O ports are fixed on board.

@Chino de Oro Though I have some concern. The rear ports is fine but what if I ignore the front I/O ports and just install the new ports instead? I just recently got into PC stuff, please correct if I'm wrong

The motherboard does not have standard headers for all connections. While it may function on a test bench, fitments, power and wirings in a standard case is not a feasible transplant.

@Chino de Oro I guess I only need the power button, I can ignore the IO ports. Thanks again
