CTA question
Hi there,
I'm just trying to find out if once you have used CTA to move a file to a secondary tier can you then move it to the cloud at a later stage?
The plan is VNX file <1 year> > VNXe file <2 year> > Cloud provider.

Hello Ed,
I'm not sure if this question has been answered or not, but the answer is yes. This is called a multi-tier stub policy. It runs a policy against files that have already be archived to tier the data to another tier of storage. The stub on the primary file system is updated to reference the new secondary. In your case, this would be the cloud provider.
