M1000 Fan Control non standard enclosure

We are using a couple M1000 chassis in a non datacenter environment and are currently in the process of designing the enclosure. We need to be able to control the rate of the fans for a set of experiments to gauge flow rates and noise.
I have checked out the following documents without success
Chassis Management Controller Firmware Version 1.0 User Guide
Integrated Dell™ Remote Access Controller Firmware Version 1.11 User Guide

So there must be an un-published command to do this for testing etc?

There are not any exposed commands to control the fan rpms. There are thresholds in the CMC and iDRACs and when temp changes, then RPM increases, or when fans, power supplies are removed they increase as well.

No way to type "omchassis increase fan rpm x%"

Scott,
How do you run the om commands remotely?

Thanks

ssh is enabled by default on the chassis, you can also enable telnet. Then simply telnet/ssh to the IP of the CMC and login with id=root pw=calvin (default) .. or whatever you've defined.
You configure the ssh/telnet under the "Network/Security ... Services" tab of the CMC web interface.

When in the ssh/telnet session type "help" at the command line to list the commands, then "help " for more details.

All the docs are here --> http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/pem600/en/index.htm

Hope that helps.
