Unable to retire vmware image Backup client properly
I am new to Avamar.. While retiring a vmware image backup i am facing some issues. I tried retiring the client and it was successfully retired without any issues and i can see the client in MC\Retire as well. But in the next schedule the client started running again. Hope while maintenance window the client is adding again. Kindly advise why it is adding and help me in retiring the client properly.

Thank you for your prompt replies. Issue has been resolved.
The backup is triggered again because the Dynamic mode is enabled.
After Disabling i am able to retire the client properly and my issue resolved.

I would suggest you open a support ticket. It's too complicated to address via forum.

check for it again, see if it was added twice.
maybe once as a vm and once as a physical?
is the "new" running in the same Avamar Domain that you retied it from?
do you by chance have that Auto add setup (I never used it so not sure how that works.)

Yes, it is running on the same domain
do you by chance have that Auto add setup (I never used it so not sure how that works.)
Can you please advise how to check this.

Hi Ajith,
I can see one possibility there. For cloud backup, user get an option to add a VM to backup. User just need to select the option to add the VM to backup and it will be added to backup automatically.
Is that VM from cloud and is the automation enabled?
If you are sure that this VM is not added for both image backup and agent based backup, and no one is adding this VM back to backup schedule, I would suggest working with support on this.
