Initiate a screen diagnostic: hold the D key though powerup. Does the fault appear on the test screens?
What model Alienware?

Dell Support and our users will need to know the exact model. Go HERE. Insert the private Service Tag. That will then show you the exact model and warranty. Then post the model out here as a new Reply.
