Power but no fans, sounds, or screen

My laptop had a system update available so I chose the have it update and shutdown.  Over 30 minutes later I realized it had not shutdown and was stuck on a screen (I cannot remember what it was).  I did a hard reset.  I tried to turn it back on and only the keyboard would light up.  No beeps, fans or other sounds came from the computer.  Can this be fixed?
