m18 R1, thinner power brick?

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a thin power brick for the AW m18 R1?  I didn't realize the bulk of the stock power brick. The Power Brick needs to 330W at least.

Thank you,

Stefos

Hi @Stefos1 thank you for sharing update.

This is an English board, but users are international, consequently do not know thread owner's location.

My vendor example provides different dell part numbers, to get local power cord with mains plug.

You are at liberty to undertake customised internet search, try Dell 330W GaN Slim AC Adapter Power Charger.

There's only one model of 330W adapter -- the original -- for this system.

Hi @Stefos1 welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.

Please share Alienware 18 R1 (7/02/2013) dc power lead plug dimensions (Example: 7.4mm o/d, 5.0mm i/d, with central wire).

7.4mm od, 5.0mm id with central wire.jpg

It is a legal US requirement that a single OEM laptop ac adapter (charger) is limited to maximum of 330W. If laptop requires more than 330W power, there are then two ac adapters (chargers) and laptop has two dc power-in ports.

The Alienware 18 (R1) has a single OEM laptop ac adapter (charger).

Internet search on US Dell Part Number: 08K4F9, reveals vendors offering different mains power cord plug. Example: Dell HA330PM201 LA330PM210 19.5V 16.92A 330.0W GaN AC Adapter Charger – USA Laptop Battery

There is some confusion here. Stefos1 has the 2023 m18 R1 and not the 2013 18 R1. I have edit the title and original post to show this.

Good morning Crimson,

Are you saying that US Dell Part Number: 08K4F9 IS the only thin line power brick alternative?

Thank you again for your kindness,

Stefos
