m15 R1, battery replacement
Alienware m15
I have an Alienware m15 R1 laptop with 6 Cell 90 WHR Lithium Ion replacement battery. This battery is now not working and needs to be replaced .
Dell is now not selling 6 Cell battery and I could see that they have 4 Cell battery for this laptop. Can anyone confirm if the 4 Cell battery will fit in 6 Cell slot ?
Or if there any legitimate site where I can buy 6 Cell batter for Alienware m15 R1?

If Dell doesn't have it, the next most reliable place is Parts-People, which sells genuine Dell parts. I checked for you, and they have the 6-cell battery in stock.
At least in the US, Dell has your 6-cell battery available.
Whenever touching components or working inside a computer, wear a grounded wrist strap, also called anti-static wrist strap, ESD wrist strap, or ground bracelet. It's a cheap and sensible precaution. Rest the laptop on an anti-static mat or at least a reasonable alternative such as corrugated cardboard.

Hi @zebra2612 any of these batteries can be installed within the m15 R1, see Battery specifications, and 60Wh battery (half-length), 90Wh battery (full-length). Please search the internet using Dell Part Number (DP/N). Advocate get the extra purchase protection from Amazon, eBay and Dell. When delivered, always check the year/month date beneath square QR code matrix on white label and DP/N. New Battery should be less than six months old. Reject any battery that does not have white label.
