m15, brightness does not work

I have an alienware m15 and my brightness setting does  not work. It is stuck on the lowest level and doesnt increase. I have updated my drivers in display manager with the display AND monitor. I have also done the cmd verfication stuff. Nothing has worked! Please help. I have my two chargers plugged in yet the bright ness still doesnt work. Sometimes when i restart my computer my brightness works for like 3 seconds then immediately goes dim. My screen also seems to be flickering.
