AW988 Headset - Feature to MUTE annoying Voice Prompt

Hello,

can you add the feature to the AW988 in AWCC ? We are in 2023 and I don't understand why this feature is not already existing on the high level headset.

Each 5min when my battery is low the voice prompt say "Battery Low", "Battery low", "Battery low", "Battery low", "Battery low", "Battery low", "Battery low", "Battery low", "Battery low", "Battery low", "Battery critical"

=> It's always mute my game sound and sometimes it make me jumpscare because it's so loud !

=> If it's not possible can you juste put this voice prompt only 1 time ? or just make a "discreet bip" ?

Same for "Mic On", "Mic Off" => Seriously ? I know my mic is off because I do the physical action to put it in mute mode, so why this annoying prompt voice is still there ?

All the heaset functionalities are awesome but it's all ruined by these annoying sounds every time

I know to add these functionality you need to "upgrade" the firmware of AW988, but by doing this, the AW988 will be really perfect,

A similar thread was already open for these subjet in 2019, but Dell not answer at all,

regards,

Marc

The audio prompts are working as designed. Dell would never ask for a firmware that is contrary to the manufacturer design for the 2018 released headset. My question to you, why would you allow the battery to get low? Why not simply charge the headset when not in use?

Hi @Crym0 welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum. Has the Dell Peripheral Manager Usage and Troubleshooting | Dell US been used to Download, Use, and Configure the Dell Peripheral Manager for Headset? This peripheral manager might provide additional Support for Alienware Wireless Gaming Headset AW988 | Drivers & Downloads | Dell US.
