Annoying BIOS hdd password prompt since enabling h/w encrypted BitLocker on Win11

Hi,

I've tried searching the posts for a solution, found none. If I missed a relevant post, please point me to it.

Issue: I replaced the SSD drive in my new Alienware M16 R2 with a 2T Samsung 990 Pro. Using a guide tomshardware (I can provide a link if necessary), I enabled hardware encryption to be used by BitLocker in Windows 11. Everything worked well and now BitLocker uses H/W encryption, but at every reboot the BIOS is pestering me to enter the hdd password (Dell BIOS security, hard-drive is password protected...). I didn't set any password in the BIOS, so it must've been activated with the H/W encryption, and I have no idea what password to use. Funny thing is, I can safely dismiss the prompt without entering anything and Win11 will boot as normal, and the affected drive is present, so the BIOS prompt has no visible effect or meaning at all. I figure, the key is actually stored in the TPM so the password isn't really necessary.

I've done this on other computers (non-Dell ustom-built desktop) and I've never had the same problem with the BIOS prompt, so this part of the issue is probably specific to Dell.

Right now, I'm considering disabling the H/W encryption (using sedutil), but before I do that, I was wondering if there was a way to just disable the annoying BIOS prompt. I enabled H/W encryption because I wanted to have it on instead of S/W Bitlocker, but this prompt is annoying as hell so I'd rather just forget about the whole thing. Another solution would be to figure out what password can be used, and possibly change it to something simpler if I really have to enter it on each boot.
