Win 10 upgrade free?
My father passed me down an Alienware 14 that he got in 2015 or so. It has windows 7, and I did a full format/reinstall with the provided Alienware win 7 disc.
my question is: can I upgrade this to windows 10 for free? It's still doing whatever updates win7 needs, and there wasn't an icon at the bottom to "upgrade to windows 10".

Hi deapee,
Unfortunately the free upgrade ended already. The offer for the general public ended on July 29th, 2016 and it was not extended.
You will need to buy a Microsoft license if you want Windows 10.

Thanks. I see that win 7 is supported by Microsoft until Jan 2020 anyway. So that should be fine.
