Burning smell from charging port of Alienware 15 r2
Burning smell from charging port of laptop.
Yesterday I play GTA v on my laptop and suddenly it's turn off and also charger led. Then I check my charger in other laptop it's work fine but then I noticed that the burning smell come out from charging port of laptop.so I try again. First I switched on charger and when I attach it with laptop the led on charger goes off. And again smell come out from port. Please any one tell me What's the problem.

I suggest you don't leave it on un-attended. Should probably call Dell. Hopefully, you have a warranty.

Hi i also have this problem with my AW 15 R1, my laptop also smells/light turns off from the dc port and won't start. I was also playing GTA V coincidence? But seriously i need to know what is wrong with my AW and what can be done as i am ouy of warranty and a replacement mobo will cost $1k aud and im not certain a new mobo would fix it either. PLEASE HELP US DELL REPRESENTATIVE!☝☝☝☝☝☝☝
