AW3225QF, only 1 lane established with DP 2.1 cable
I have a 5m FIBBR VESA Certified 40Gbps Active Optical DisplayPort 2.1 cable. When I try to connect my AW3225QF to my RTX 4090, only 1 lane gets established, restricting me to a bandwidth of 8.1Gbps. Normally, I'd assume it was a faulty cable, but it works fine on my other monitor, establishing 4 DP 1.4 lanes at 8.1Gbps each with DSC.
I've experimented with different ports, with this as the only connection etc. but it always ends up with just the one lane.
Is this a firmware or hardware limitation/bug in the AW3225QF?

An update. A few days ago, I started the PC up and I had a full 4 lanes and able to get 240Hz. This didn't coincide with any updates (GPU drivers, Monitor firmware etc), so I can't point to anything in particular that changed. It's been stable since.
I'll mark as solved as my question was whether it supported 2.1 cables or not, and it does. Whether it's reliable or not, is another matter - hopefully the answer to that is yes.

Unknown. Dell never tested longer 5 meter/16.4 feet cabling. Dell only tested the 1.8 meter/5.9 feet cables sent with the AW3225QF from the manufacturer.

How do you know how many lanes you have active?

@Vanadiel GPU-Z (Advanced Tab) will tell you current and max lanes and link rate

@DELL-Chris M Whilst I wouldn't expect Dell to test every available cable on the market, I would expect the DisplayPort to be tested for compatibility with an example of all versions of DisplayPort cable available at the time of manufacture.
Regardless, I've provided a potential issue so would appreciate it if Dell could test it themselves to see if it's reproducable. Doesn't have to be the same cable - in fact it would be better if it wasn't - to confirm if there are any Link Training issues with DisplayPort 2.1 cables.

Hmm, I could not find it under the advanced tab. Are you talking about the bus interface X16 @ X16?

@MickT777 Mine does not show it there, but I was able to find it in the Adrenalin software package.
Mine is linked at 5.4 Gbps x 4 for my DWF. Not the same monitor, but at least I learned something new.
