Amd Radeon HD 8990
Hello,
I have an Aurora R-4 with Windows 7. My problem is I bought a Wacom Cintiq 16" and I have no where
to connect it. The only connector on my video card is occupied by my monitor. The wacom requires
a HDMI,and a USB , but my system is rather old and the connector is a DVI type. What is the best way to handle
this situation? I have a photo. Any help is greatly appreciated. MY graphics card is AMD Radeon HD 8990.
Thanks Sheron

MINI Display port to HDMI is fine.

HOWEVER
Radeon HD 8990 is now legacy so you cannot use the latest drivers

If the wacom device has a cable that ends like this (male):
then you'd need a female hdmi adapter like this:
https://www.amazon.com/iVanky-DisplayPort-Adapter-Braided-Aluminum/dp/B01N6M2VN4/
Otherwise, if the wacom device has an hdmi port that end like this (female), then something like the link I provided above is fine:

I'm not familiar with the wacom, but in your photo you have 4 mini displayports.
You can get a mini-dp to hdmi adapter.
https://www.amazon.com/Rankie-Mini-DisplayPort-Cable-Ready/dp/B00YONKZ72/
The mini dp would go into the PC, and the hdmi gets plugged into the output device.

HD8990 has x1 DVI, but x4 mini-DisplayPort
eBay / amazon / google search = HDMI to mini DisplayPort cable (or) HDMI to mini DisplayPort adaptor
google search = what is mini Display Port? (or) adapt hdmi to mini Display Port

Yeah, I'm not familiar with it either, I was thinking port, but after reading the description it might have a cable instead.

"No need to get hdmi adapter. Just get a miniDP to miniDP cable."
I'm not following. I don't see where it says the wacom has a miniDP. The photo with the miniDP is the GPU.
Hardware Requirements
HDMI port and standard USB-A port
Ports Included
Wacom Cintiq 16:
Wacom Cintiq 22:
