Upgrading WiFi adapter for Windows 10

Hi!

I am using Inspiron 17R SE 7720 (Service Tag: <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>| Express Service Code: <ADMIN NOTE: Express service code removed per privacy policy>). The BIOS firmware is latest (A17).

This laptop is included in "Computers tested for upgrade to Windows 10".

However I expect problems in Windows 10 when going to sleep mode and/or entering powersave mode - WiFi stops working after waking up. It is a well-known problem and it is caused by Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 wi-fi adapter used in my laptop. The problem is driver-based and Intel has no plan to solve it because the adapter is obsolete.

I am going to upgrade my laptop replacing Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 with new Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260. It has the same form-factor and officially supports Windows 10.

Please let me know is there any restriction in BIOS those prevent changing WiFi adapter in this way?
