CompactFlash PC Card Adapter (SanDisk)

Warning: I'm very non-techie.

I recently got my Inspiron E1505 and didn't realize that my compact flash (ie all my photos) wasn't going to be read-able.  Then I found the PC card slot and realized there were adapters...except I can't get the PC to recognize it to save my life.  (My card fits in the adapter and the adapter seems to fit in the slot...)

Is it a lost cause?  Am I missing something obvious?

Any advice would be fab.

The E1505 uses ExpressCards, not PC Cards.  You can slide it in but it won't make contact.  Several companies make card readers that will work for you.  See here.  Or, you could cgo with a USB card reader.

Thank you so much!!!  That certainly would explain it.  Glad the PC card was on sale for around $15!

You can probably sell it on Ebay and make a profit. :smileywink:
