Citrix screen resolution at 1260x 760 when it should be 1920x1024

When I first got my Latitude E5520 (i7, 8Gb RAM, Intel HD graphics) I could connect to a Citrix based VDI desktop with a screen resolution of 1920x1024. Suddenly it dropped to 1280x760. I have never been able to get it to shift back to 1920.

The Citrix client has been replaced with both available options. Same result. Every possible configuration setting has been set to 1920x1024 to no avail.

The native desktop is at 1920x1024. Shifting into the VDI session, the only screen resolution offered is 1280x760.

I have also reloaded the graphics driver. Same results.Going into the advanced graphics configuration on the laptop confirms 1920x1024.

Other laptops allow me to log in to the same VDI desktop in 1920x1024 resolution so it is isolated to the laptop itself.

Anyone have any ideas? This is a critical need.

Solution to issue for Win 7 and beyond: go to the adjust font size / advance screen.

Check the "Xp compatibility" check box.

Fixes the issue instantly.

This took an incredible amount of research to find (5 wks).

The answer is there is a special checkbox for Windows Xp compatibility in the Advanced DPI settings for screen fonts that has to be checked if you have upscaled your screen font resolution greater than 100%. If you leave it at 100%, you do not have to check this box!
