Looking For Advertised 4600, 4700 or 8400 System Specials

Hi Everyone,

Last month my son found a very reasonable, nicely configured Dell 3000 System advertised in Life magazine.  He went on-line with Dell, entered the E-Value Code, customized it and ended up with a very good buy.

I would like to do the same.  Has anyone seen anything advertised close to a new Dell 4600, 4700 or 8400 system with Intel 3.0 +/- GHz, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive and 19" Flat Panel Display?  If so, I would use the E-Value Code to make any needed customizations.

I got more time than money, but I don't want to look through 100 magazines.  Is there a better way to find these E-Value Codes/good buys?

Do a Google search for "dell coupons" and you'll get a bunch of sites that post coupon codes.  Most of them are the same, but sometimes different sites will have unique ones.  A few weeks ago there was a 40% off coupon for a XPS system that was posted for 12-hours only.  Check every day until you see one that'll make you bite.  (I keep waiting for another 40% XPS system because I missed it the first time around!).

http://www.techbargains.com keeps up with Dell deals. I know Dell SB is currently offering a Dimension 4700 (w/o monitor) for $500.
