If your service appointment requires site access, you’ll receive an email that prompts you to approve site access before the technicians arrive. You can approve site access up to six hours before your scheduled appointment. If you don’t confirm site access at least six hours before your appointment, a Dell agent will reach out to the primary contact for the work order to obtain approval for the technicians to come to your location. If you view your service request online, you’ll also see the option to confirm site access for your appointment. You have two ways to confirm site access: follow the link in the email you received or search for your service request online. To confirm site access from your email
From the email, select Approve site access and follow the link tothe service request online.
On the Service Request Details page, you’ll see your service request, the work order, and the service appointment that requires site access confirmation. Select Confirm Site Access.
You might see the option to enter a labor access number for each technician, but it’s not required. Select Approve All.
A confirmation shows you a list of the approved technicians. To confirm site access online
Search for your service request or work order at Dell Support Service Requests and Dispatch Status. If you aren’t signed in, you may be prompted to sign in or enter the email address associated with the service request.
Open Service Request Details.On the Service Request Details page, you’ll see your service request and any associated work orders with service appointments. Find the work order and select Confirm Site Access.
You might see the option to enter a labor access number for each technician, but it’s not required. Select Approve All.
A confirmation shows you a list of the approved technicians.
On the Service Request Details page, you can view all service details including approved technicians. If you reschedule your service appointment, you’ll receive another email that prompts you to confirm site access again.
