Industry-wide Issue with Intel Core 13th and 14th Generation i5, i7, and i9 Processors

This issue may affect Dell and Alienware desktop, tower, and workstation computers.

Identified Intel processors may encounter unstable applications, Windows blue screen errors, or the computer may stop responding.

To find out if your computer is identified as having the Intel Core 13th and 14th generation desktop processor, check your service tag at www.dell.com/support. A banner displays only if your computer has been identified as having the processor.

Intel delivered a microcode update that Dell engineering has incorporated into computer BIOS updates for all identified computer models. These BIOS updates have been available since August 16, 2024 on the Dell Support Website to maintain stability of the processors. You can find more information on the Dell Support Website. Dell highly recommends updating your computer to the latest BIOS containing the updated Intel microcode.
