Resolution

To safe list a file:

  1. From a web browser, go to the Dell Threat Defense administration console at:
  2. Log in to the Dell Threat Defense administration console.

  1. In the console, click the Settings tab.

  1. In Settings, click the Global List tab.

  1. Click the Safe tab.

  1. Files may be safe-listed for:
    • Executables
    • Scripts

Click the appropriate file type.

  1. Click Add File.

  1. In the Add File to Safe List menu:
    1. Populate the file’s SHA256.
    2. Optionally, add the file’s MD5.
    3. Optionally, add the File name.
    4. Select the appropriate Category for the file.
    5. Populate a Reason for safe listing the file.
    6. Click Submit.

  1. Click Add Script.

    1. Populate the file’s SHA256.
    2. Optionally, add the File name.
    3. Populate a Reason for safe listing the file.
    4. Click Submit.
