Symptoms

Säkerhetskopiering till Data Domain Common Internet File System-delning (CIFS) misslyckas med följande meddelande på grund av oväntat nätverksfel:

BackupIoRequest::ReportIoError: write failure on backup device '\\device\share\Database_full_20240316015305.BAK'. Operating system error 59 (An unexpected network error occurred.).
The operating system returned the error '59(An unexpected network error occurred.)' while attempting 'DiskChangeFileSize' on '\\device\share\Database_full_20240316015305.BAK'
The operating system returned the error '59(An unexpected network error occurred.)' while attempting 'FlushFileBuffers' on '\\device\share\Database_full_20240316015305.BAK'.

Cause

Tidsgränsen för Windows-sessionen är 60 s som standard. Den här tidsgränsen beror inte bara på Data Domains svarstid, utan även på eventuell nätverksfördröjning. Om nätverket är långsamt eller om bearbetningen av Data Domain tar längre tid än förväntat (t.ex. snabb indexexpansion under en tung säkerhetskopieringsbelastning) återställer Windows anslutningen och orsakar säkerhetskopieringsfel.

Resolution

Öka tidsgränsen för Windows-sessionen till ett högre värde, till exempel 180 s, genom att köra följande kommando: 
Set-SmbClientConfiguration -SessionTimeout 180 -Force
