Problem: Dell Docking Station WD15 dock firmware failure

Latitude 7200 2-in-1 users may encounter a dock firmware failure when attempting to update the firmware on a Dell Docking Station WD15. (Figure 1.)

Solution

There is no hardware fault with the dock or the computer.

Update the Latitude 7200 2-in-1 system BIOS to the latest version from the Dell support website (Version 1.6.2 or higher) before attempting to update the WD15 dock firmware.
