Battery Not Detected, Will Not Charge or, Will Not Power the System

Some Venue 11 Pro 5130 users have reported issues with the battery (Dell Part #T8NH4) on systems that are manufactured before January 2014. Symptoms include:

  • Battery may not show up in the BIOS at all, or it may show as defective.
  • Battery may show up in the BIOS and indicate a full charge or healthy, but the system will not operate without AC power.
  • Battery will not charge.

If a new or known good battery was installed into the system, the systems worked.
