Touch screen monitors let you to enjoy all your touch enabled games and applications to the fullest. However, there may be times when the curser does not move accurately, or follow your finger when you touch the screen. Here is how you fix it: Make sure there is nothing on the monitor that is blocking your movement.
Clean the surface with a lint-free cloth to remove any dirt, dust or oily finger prints. Move any metal objects away from the screen. Check if the monitor is responding well. Perform a System Restore to take the computer back to a time when the touch screen was responding well. System Restore reverses any changes that may have affected the touch driver.
To perform a system restore, type "system restore" on the Windows 8 start screen. Select Settings under search. Then select Create a Restore Point. In the System Protection tab, click System Restore and follow the instructions. Watch our "Using System Restore in Windows 8" video for details. Calibrating the touch screen may also help in resolving touch issues.
On the Windows 8 start screen type "control panel". Open Control Panel and select Tablet PC Settings. In the Display tab, click Calibrate. Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the touch screen. Save the calibration data. The screen is now calibrated. Restart the computer to ensure the issue has been resolved.
