Alert ID | XMS_SFP_FAILURE_UNSUPPORTED |
Alert Text | The inserted SFP is not supported. |
Error Code | 0x0030A103 |
Description | The inserted SFP is not supported. |
ResSolution | Cause A non-DELL EMC qualified SFP or cable is used. Solution 1. Confirm the SFP or cable part number is supported by checking SolVe online PowerStore Parts and Cable Guide (login required). 2. If the SFP or cable part number is supported, it may need to be replaced. For NVMe expansion enclosures:
- Part Number 03800498600 (2.5 M cable) is not a supported cable and should NOT be used for connection to NVMe expansion enclosures. If the current cable is Part Number 03800498600 (2.5 M cable), it must be replaced.
3. It is recommended to contact technical support so they can review the underlying cause of the error to determine the best course of action.- Part Numbers 03800492600 (1.0 M cable), 03800492800 (2.0 M cable) and 03800493000 (3.0 M cable) are supported cables to connect NVMe expansion enclosures to the node. Part Number 03800492800 (2.0 M cable) is the only supported cable to connect one NVMe expansion enclosures to another NVMe expansion enclosure. (other cable part numbers may be supported in future PowerStoreOS releases.) - When replacing the cables make sure to replace them one at a time. Make sure to wait at least 2 minutes between disconnecting and then reconnecting the cables SFP's. See KB 000207331 PowerStore: Two minute wait is required when replacing or reconnecting cables to NVMe expansion enclosure. - If after replacing the cables the alerts are not cleared, contact technical support. Note: If you have been approved to use a Third-Party ToR switch which uses non supported SFPs, you will receive these alerts. There is no workaround to disable these alerts for such scenarios. |

Alert Text | SFP modules inserted in each node of the appliance do not match. |
Error Code | 0x0030A104 |
Description | SFP modules inserted in each node of the appliance do not match. |
Resolution | Cause The SFPs installed on the same location of both nodes have different supported speeds or connector types. Solution 1.Install identical SFP modules (same supported speeds and connector types) on each node of the appliance. It is recommended that you always install SFP modules in pairs. 2.It is recommended to contact technical support so they can review the underlying cause of the error to determine the best course of action. |
Alert ID | XMS_SFP_FAILURE_REMOVED |
Alert Text | SFP module is not inserted or seated correctly. |
Error Code | 0x0030A105 |
Description | SFP module is not inserted or seated correctly. |
Resolution | Cause This SFP module may be physically uninstalled or not fully inserted. Solution 1.Insert or reseat the SFP module. 2.It is recommended to contact technical support so they can review the underlying cause of the error to determine the best course of action. |
Alert ID | XMS_SFP_FAILURE_CHECKSUM_ERROR |
Alert Text | The SFP's inventory data is corrupted, resulting in an EEPROM checksum error. |
Error Code | 0x0030A106 |
Description | The SFP's inventory data is corrupted, resulting in an EEPROM checksum error. |
Resolution | Cause This SFP module’s inventory data is corrupted or not correctly programmed. Solution 1.Replace the SFP. Review the Installation and Service Guide for more information. 2.It is recommended to contact technical support so they can review the underlying cause of the error to determine the best course of action. |
Alert ID | XMS_SFP_FAILURE_SPEED_MISMATCH |
Alert Text | Speeds supported by the SFP module are not supported by the port into which it is inserted. |
Error Code | 0x0030A107 |
Description | Speeds supported by the SFP module are not supported by the port into which it is inserted. |
Resolution | Cause This SFP module’s supported speeds are unsupported by the port. Solution 1.Replace it with an SFP module with speed types compatible to those of the port. 2.It is recommended to contact technical support so they can review the underlying cause of the error to determine the best course of action. |
